An epic design journey with Solana

We explored our design adventure with one of the leading blockchains, Solana. We’ve been working with the core team from very early days.
From landing page to ecosystem page to third-party dApps to Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, we’ve covered everything design for Solana. It’s been quite a ride!
Ecosystem
We designed Solana ecosystem platform to reflect its growth and engage the community.
Challenge:
The Solana ecosystem is vast and constantly expanding, with thousands of projects. It required a dedicated platform to showcase these projects and actively involve the Solana community.
Solution:
We embraced a community-driven approach by integrating an "upvote" feature, allowing users to actively participate. The website was designed with a dApp store-like experience in mind. To simplify navigation, we enabled project filtering by time period.
Results:
1. Over 1,000 decentralized applications (dApps) submitted.
2. An average of 150,000 to 200,000 monthly visits.
3. Praise and positive feedback from the Solana community on Twitter and Reddit.
DAO
In web3, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) have become a cornerstone of the industry. We designed the first-ever DAO dApp on Solana, an open source project for decentralizing the world's financial systems. 1500+ organizations are now using it everyday. We mapped the entered product out, created tons of wireframes and iterated multiple versions. The result was a user-friendly DAO dApp, facilitating complex blockchain transactions via a simple interface.
Solana x Dribbble
Dribbble is a self-promotion and social networking platform for digital designers and creatives. It serves as a design portfolio platform, jobs and recruiting site and is one of the largest platforms for designers to share their work online.
Solana collaborated with Dribbble to explore NFT capabilities for the design community, aiming to secure a portion of OpenSea's market share. We developed several prototypes to demonstrate potential methods for incorporating web3 into the Dribbble platform.
Solana Pay with Shopify
Shopify team is enthusiastic about incorporating Solana Pay into their payment infrastructure. However, merchants seeking to integrate it required a separate platform. We designed the experience for it from ground up.
